Biography

​

Born in 1995, she is an independent filmmaker. She was admitted to the Radio, Cinema, and Television Department at Kadir Has University with a top ranking in Turkey and completed her studies on a full scholarship. She also pursued a double major in Advertising.

In 2020, her short film When Are We Leaving? was a finalist at the 18th Environmental Short Film Festival. In the same year, she received the Scriptwriting Encouragement Award from the 1st "Sinemazon" Women's Directors Festival, organized by Çankaya Municipality, for her short film script The Fire Wasn’t at Our House. This script was also a finalist in the short screenplay category at the 3rd Luma Yeditepe University Short Film Festival in 2023.

In 2024, at the age of 29, she completed her debut feature film Ikarus as screenwriter, director, and producer. Prior to production, the project was a finalist in the 7th Denizbank First Script, First Film Competition in the project presentation category; unfortunately, the competition was not concluded. In 2025, Ikarus received the Biket İlhan Best Director Award in the Golden Reel National Feature Film Category at the 8th International Women Directors Film Festival.
